Discharge paperwork
We sit beside veterans at the kitchen table and translate the DD-214, the forms, and the benefits maze into plain English — so nothing falls through the cracks.

A veteran-led nonprofit
St Michael's Passport2Recovery walks with veterans through the hardest year of their lives — from discharge paperwork to a front door key, a paycheck, and a person who answers the phone.
His testimony — in his own voice
He walks off the plane with nobody there to meet him — until he sees a Passport2Recovery banner in the hangar and the community waiting under it. One continuous 60-second story. Hover for a preview, click to watch with sound.

Deposit assistance, work boots, a bus pass, a first counseling session, and job placement — the tangible things that turn a tough week into a stable month.
A mentor who's walked the same road, a community that shows up, and a person who answers the phone — because recovery doesn't happen in isolation.

Our mission
Saint Michael is the patron of those who stand between people and harm. Our work carries that name because the danger for many veterans arrives after the deployment ends — in isolation, in unstable housing, in a claim that takes years, in a recovery attempted without a squad.
We issue every veteran a Passport: a single, coordinated plan across housing, health, income, and family, carried by one advocate who does not hand you off. No cost. No waitlist for crisis intake. No expiration date on the relationship.
Every service is free to veterans and their families, regardless of discharge status.
Programs
Emergency placement, transitional housing navigation, and help securing a permanent lease with deposit assistance.
Skill translation from MOS to civilian roles, resume labs, interview rehearsal, and employer partnerships that actually hire.
Trauma-informed counseling, substance recovery pathways, and crisis response staffed by clinicians who understand service.
Whole-person coaching that blends mindset, movement, nutrition, and purpose — helping veterans rebuild routine, resilience, and a sense of direction after service.
Every veteran is paired with a battle buddy who has already walked the road home — one call away, for as long as it takes.
Support for spouses, kids, and caregivers, because the transition happens to the whole household.

A few minutes is all it takes. Tell us where you are and a coach will reach out to figure out the next right step with you — no pressure, no paperwork to start.
Job Placement
We translate military skills into civilian credentials, coach every interview, and stand beside each veteran until they have a paycheck — not a promise.
We map your MOS, rate, or AFSC to in-demand civilian roles and fund the certifications that close the gap — forklift, CDL, IT, trades, healthcare, and more.
Resume labs, mock interviews, and salary negotiation with recruiters who hire veterans. You walk in ready, not hoping.
Direct introductions to our employer partners, plus 90 days of on-the-job check-ins so the placement sticks and the paycheck keeps coming.
Veterans, sign up for job placement support — a coach will reach out.
The Passport
A single conversation. We map immediate needs — safety, shelter, health — within 48 hours.
Housing secured, care connected, benefits filed. The ground stops moving.
Training, credentials, and employer introductions matched to real strengths.
Employed, housed, supported — with a mentor and a 24-month check-in cadence.
